Terms of Use

Last updated: August 15, 2026 | Version: 1.1Suomeksi

1. Who We Are

These Terms of Use apply to your access to and use of the Werjo mobile applications for iOS and Android, Werjo websites, and related digital services operated by Werjo Oy ("Werjo", "we", "us" or "our").

Werjo Oy is established in Finland. Company address: Antinkatu 3 D 7, 00100 Helsinki, Finland. Werjo Oy is registered in the Finnish Trade Register. Business ID: 3633018-3

Support, privacy and legal contact: support@werjo.com. Support page: https://werjo.com/support/.

2. What Werjo Is

Werjo is an event and city discovery service. Werjo displays information about events, places, venues, organisers, maps, media, embedded videos, and related city content from public, official, partner-provided, or other available sources.

Werjo helps users discover events and places, but Werjo is not the organiser, venue, ticket seller, booking provider, admission controller, payment provider, transport provider, or safety authority for third-party events listed in the service.

In the current version of the service, Werjo does not sell tickets, process ticket payments, manage event registrations, offer in-app purchases or subscriptions, or allow organisers to self-publish events directly through the service.

3. Acceptance Of These Terms

By accessing or using Werjo, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the service.

If you create a Werjo account or complete first-time profile setup, you may be required to confirm that you accept these Terms and that you have read or had access to Werjo’s Privacy Policy before using account features.

Nothing in these Terms limits any mandatory rights that you may have under applicable consumer protection laws.

4. Eligibility And Age

Werjo accounts and account features are available only to individuals who are at least 18 years old. You may create, access or use a Werjo account only if you are 18 or older and legally permitted to accept these Terms.

During account creation or first-time profile setup, Werjo may require you to confirm that you are at least 18 and that you have read or had access to the Privacy Policy. You must provide these confirmations truthfully. Werjo may refuse, suspend or delete an account if Werjo reasonably believes that the account holder is under 18 or that the age confirmation is inaccurate.

Public event and city content may be accessible without a Werjo account. Accessing public content does not give a person under 18 the right to create, access or use an account or any account-only feature.

Some events listed in Werjo may be subject to separate age restrictions, including 18+ restrictions. Such restrictions are determined by the organiser, venue, ticket provider or applicable law, not by Werjo. Werjo is not responsible for checking a user's age at a venue or deciding whether a user may attend an event. Age restrictions, ID checks, entry requirements and admission decisions are determined by the organiser, venue or ticket provider.

5. User Account And Login Providers

Some Werjo features may require a user account, including profiles, saved events, saved locations, social features, event invitations, privacy settings, diagnostics choices, notification or reminder settings, and account deletion features.

You are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for activity that takes place under your account, unless the activity results from unauthorised access that was not caused by your breach of these Terms or failure to take reasonable care. You must provide accurate information when creating or using your account, keep your account information up to date where relevant, and must not impersonate another person.

You should contact Werjo without undue delay if you suspect unauthorised access to your account or misuse of your login details.

Werjo may support email/password login and third-party login options such as Google Sign-In and Sign in with Apple. Third-party login providers may be subject to their own terms and privacy policies. Werjo does not receive your Google password or Apple ID password.

You must not allow another person to use your account in a way that breaches these Terms or applicable law, and you must not create or use accounts for abuse, circumvention of restrictions, evasion of blocks or enforcement measures, spam, scraping, or other misuse.

6. User Content And Profile Information

You may be able to provide profile information, a display name, nickname, avatar, selected profile details, privacy settings, reports, support information and other information through Werjo features. You retain any rights you have in content that you provide to Werjo.

You grant Werjo a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide licence to host, store, reproduce, display, technically process, resize, format, technically adapt, review, restrict, remove and moderate that information or content only as necessary to provide the relevant Werjo features, operate and secure the service, display profile or social features where applicable, handle reports and support requests, enforce these Terms, and protect users, Werjo and third parties.

You represent that you have the rights needed to provide your content and that it does not violate these Terms, applicable law, privacy rights, image or personality rights, intellectual property rights, or any other rights of Werjo, users, or third parties.

You must not upload or provide content or information that is unlawful, misleading, harmful, abusive, discriminatory, infringing, privacy-invasive, or otherwise violates these Terms or the rights of others.

Werjo may remove, restrict, disable or moderate user-provided content or information where Werjo reasonably believes that it violates these Terms, applicable law, safety rules, privacy rights, image rights, intellectual property rights or other third-party rights, or where this is necessary to protect users, Werjo, third parties or the integrity of the service.

7. Community Rules

You must not upload, submit, display, share, provide or use Werjo to distribute content, information or activity that is:

  • illegal, abusive, harassing, threatening, hateful, exploitative, sexually explicit, violent, unsafe or otherwise harmful;
  • false, misleading, fraudulent, spam, scam-related, or impersonates another person or organisation;
  • infringing intellectual property rights, privacy rights, image rights, personality rights or other third-party rights;
  • designed to evade or attempt to evade blocks, moderation, rate limits, account restrictions, security controls, app integrity checks or other service protections;
  • harmful to Werjo, other users, event organisers, venues, service providers, third parties or the integrity of the service.

You must not scrape, copy, extract, download, harvest, reverse engineer, overload, bypass, interfere with or misuse Werjo systems, databases, API routes, backend services, Firebase services, App Check or app integrity protections, except where permitted by mandatory law.

You must not use automated tools, bots, scripts, crawlers, scrapers or similar technologies to access, copy, extract or reuse substantial parts of Werjo’s service, content or database without Werjo’s permission, except where permitted by mandatory law.

You must not misuse third-party services, map services, embedded video services, ticketing services or other external services through Werjo or in a way that interferes with Werjo, its users, service providers or the operation of the service. Third-party services may also be governed by their own terms and policies.

8. Social Features, Reports, Blocks, And Moderation

Werjo may include social features such as public profiles, profile discoverability, friends, friend requests, event invitations, visibility of favourite events to friends, blocked users, and social notification or activity surfaces.

Werjo may provide tools to report users, profile issues, avatars or other content and to block other users. Blocking may limit friend requests, event invitations, profile discoverability, social activity visibility, notifications and other interactions between affected users.

To help Werjo review reports, the reporting person should provide sufficient information about the issue. This may include contact details, a link, screenshot or other reference to the relevant profile, user, content or activity, a clear description of the issue, and any information explaining why the content or activity may violate these Terms, applicable law or third-party rights. Where the report concerns rights owned by another person or organisation, Werjo may request information showing that the reporting person is authorised to act on behalf of the rights holder.

Werjo may review reports and take action including removing content, removing avatars, restricting profile visibility, disabling social interactions, suspending accounts, deleting accounts, or preserving records where needed for safety, legal compliance, dispute handling, or enforcement of these Terms.

Werjo may be unable to fully review vague, incomplete or unsupported reports, but Werjo may still take action where it reasonably considers this necessary to protect users, Werjo, third parties or the integrity of the service.

Werjo is not required to pre-screen all user content and cannot guarantee that all objectionable content will be detected immediately. For abuse, safety, legal or moderation issues, contact Werjo at support@werjo.com.

9. Event Information And Accuracy

Werjo aims to provide useful and reasonably reliable information about events, places, venues, organisers, maps, prices, opening hours, schedules, media and related city content. However, information may come from third-party, public, official, partner-provided or other available sources and may change after publication.

Werjo does not guarantee that event, venue, location, price, ticket, schedule, age restriction, accessibility, safety, organiser, opening hour, map, media, transport, cancellation, entry or other information is complete, accurate, available or up to date at all times.

Events, venues, opening hours, prices, ticket availability, accessibility arrangements, safety arrangements, age restrictions, entry requirements and schedules may change, and events may be cancelled, postponed, rescheduled or moved.

Users should always verify final event details directly with the official organiser, venue, ticket provider or other official source before attending an event, making travel plans, relying on accessibility, safety, age restriction, entry or location information, or making any purchase.

Werjo is not responsible for decisions made by organisers, venues, ticket providers, transport providers, authorities or other third parties, including decisions about event changes, cancellations, ticket availability, prices, refunds, entry, age checks, safety arrangements or accessibility arrangements.

Werjo may display event, venue, location or city content that is clearly labelled as advertising, sponsored or promoted content. In the current version of the service, such placement is contextual and is not selected using personal data, advertising identifiers, cross-app tracking or profiling. A sponsored-content label identifies a commercial placement and does not mean that Werjo guarantees or endorses the relevant event, venue, organiser, product or service.

10. Tickets, Payments, And Third-Party Services

Werjo does not sell tickets, process ticket payments, manage event registrations, or act as a payment provider for third-party events in the current version of the service.

If Werjo links to a ticket provider, organiser, venue, social media page, map service, video service or other third-party website or service, the user’s interaction with that third party is separate from Werjo. That third party is responsible for its own content, services, tickets, payments, refunds, cancellations, entry rules, age restrictions, privacy practices and terms.

Any ticket purchase, booking, payment, registration or other transaction made through a third-party service is between the user and the relevant third party, not Werjo. Users should review the third party’s own terms and privacy policy before using that service or making any purchase.

Werjo is not responsible for purchases, payments, refunds, cancellations, admission decisions, denied entry, event changes, losses or disputes arising from third-party services, to the extent permitted by applicable law.

If Werjo introduces ticket sales, paid services, in-app purchases, subscriptions or payment processing in the future, Werjo will update these Terms where necessary before those features are made available.

11. Maps, Media, And Embedded Content

Werjo may display maps, map previews, venue coordinates, location information, images, gallery media, embedded videos and embedded audio players for discovery and convenience.

Maps and map-related features may be provided by Mapbox and are subject to applicable third-party terms, attribution requirements and privacy practices. Maps, addresses, distances, coordinates, routes, travel times, venue locations, entrances and accessibility-related location information may be approximate, incomplete or outdated.

The Werjo mobile app startup map also uses MapLibre with OpenFreeMap vector tiles, the OpenMapTiles schema and OpenStreetMap data. These services and data are subject to applicable third-party terms, licences, attribution requirements and privacy practices. Provider and licence links are available at https://werjo.com/licenses/.

Maps and location information in Werjo are provided for general discovery purposes only and must not be used for emergency, safety-critical, professional, transport, medical, legal or other high-reliance navigation purposes. Users should verify important location, route, accessibility and safety information from official sources before relying on it.

Images, gallery media and other visual content may come from public, official, partner-provided or other available sources. Such media is provided for information and discovery purposes and may not always reflect current event, venue, accessibility, safety or entry conditions.

Some pages may include embedded YouTube videos or links to YouTube. YouTube and Google may apply their own terms and privacy practices when video content is loaded, displayed, interacted with or played.

Some event or venue pages may also include embedded Spotify audio players or links to Spotify. Spotify may apply its own terms and privacy practices when an embedded player is loaded or displayed, when the user interacts with it, or when audio is played.

Werjo does not control Mapbox, MapLibre, OpenFreeMap, OpenMapTiles, OpenStreetMap, YouTube, Google, Spotify or other third-party services and data sources, and is not responsible for their availability, content, terms, licences, privacy practices, tracking technologies or actions, to the extent permitted by applicable law.

12. External Links And Content Sources

Werjo may contain links to third-party websites, ticketing platforms, organisers, venues, social media pages, map services, embedded media services, public content sources or other external resources.

These links and sources are provided for convenience and information only. External content, source materials and third-party services may change, become unavailable, contain errors, or be subject to separate terms, policies and restrictions.

Werjo does not control and is not responsible for third-party websites, content, services, availability, terms, privacy practices or actions, to the extent permitted by applicable law.

The inclusion of a third-party link, source or reference does not mean that Werjo endorses, controls, verifies, guarantees or accepts responsibility for that third party, its content or its services.

Users should verify important information directly with the relevant official source, organiser, venue, ticket provider or other responsible third party before relying on it.

13. Reporting Errors, Rights Violations, Or Other Issues

If you believe that any content available through Werjo is incorrect, outdated, unlawful, infringes copyright, trademark rights, image rights, privacy rights or any other third-party rights, or otherwise creates a legal or practical issue, please contact Werjo at support@werjo.com.

To help us review the matter, please include:

  • your name and contact details;
  • a clear description of the issue;
  • a link, screenshot or reference to the relevant content in Werjo;
  • information explaining why you believe the content is incorrect, unlawful or infringes your rights;
  • if relevant, information showing that you are the rights holder or are authorised to act on behalf of the rights holder.

Werjo may request additional information where this is necessary to review the report, verify the issue, identify the relevant content, confirm authority to act, or comply with applicable law.

Werjo may review reported issues and may investigate, update, correct, restrict access to, disable access to, or remove content where Werjo reasonably considers it appropriate or where required by law.

Werjo may limit the information shared about the review process or outcome where this is necessary to protect privacy, safety, legal rights, security, confidential information or the integrity of the review process.

14. Privacy

Werjo processes personal data in accordance with its Privacy Policy, available at https://werjo.com/privacy/.

The Privacy Policy explains what personal data Werjo collects, how it is used, how long it is stored, with whom it may be shared, how cookies, SDKs, local storage, analytics, diagnostics, marketing technologies and similar technologies may be used on the website, iOS and Android apps and related services, and how users can exercise their data protection rights.

Werjo may update its Privacy Policy from time to time as described in the Privacy Policy. Where required by law, Werjo will provide notice or request consent before starting new processing that requires consent.

15. Service Communications, Notifications, And Marketing

Werjo may send service communications related to the use of the service, such as account, security, legal, support, moderation, report, privacy, service change or other important service notices. These service communications are not marketing communications.

Werjo may provide in-app notifications, reminder settings or notification records connected to account, saved content, friends, invitations and event-related features, where available.

Werjo provides optional event reminders for saved events. Users can manage these reminders in the app settings or through their device notification settings. Marketing push notifications will be used only where permitted by law and, where required, with the user’s consent.

Werjo sends marketing communications, promotional messages or partner offers only where permitted by law and, where required, with the user’s consent. Users may manage notification and marketing choices through the relevant app, account, privacy or device settings, where available.

Werjo does not use personal data for advertising personalisation or profiling-based marketing in the current release. Because Werjo accounts and account-based notification and marketing settings are available only to users aged 18 or older, Werjo does not offer account-based push-notification or marketing preferences to persons under 18.

16. Account Deletion, Suspension, And Termination

You may stop using Werjo at any time. If you have an account, you may delete it through account settings where account deletion is available. If you cannot access the app or account deletion fails, you can contact Werjo at support@werjo.com or through https://werjo.com/support/.

Deleting your account may remove access to your profile, saved content, favourites, social connections, privacy settings, notification or reminder settings, and other account features. Werjo may retain limited information where necessary for safety, legal compliance, fraud prevention, abuse prevention, dispute resolution, backups, deletion-support handling, moderation, account deletion audit records or enforcement of these Terms, as described in the Privacy Policy.

Werjo may suspend, restrict, disable or terminate a user’s access to the service or account if Werjo reasonably believes that the user has breached these Terms, misused the service, violated applicable law, created a security risk, infringed third-party rights, attempted to evade restrictions or enforcement measures, or used the service in a way that may harm Werjo, other users, third parties or the integrity of the service.

Werjo may also remove, restrict or disable access to user-provided content, profile information, avatars, reports, interactions or other activity where Werjo reasonably believes that this is necessary to enforce these Terms, comply with applicable law, protect rights or safety, prevent misuse, protect users or third parties, or maintain the integrity and security of the service.

Where required by law, or where reasonable and possible in the circumstances, Werjo will notify the user of the suspension, restriction, disabling, removal or termination and provide information about the reason and any available contact or review options.

Werjo may take action without prior notice if immediate action is necessary for security, fraud prevention, abuse prevention, legal compliance, protection of rights, prevention of misuse, protection of users or third parties, or protection of the service. Werjo may also limit the information provided where this is necessary to protect privacy, safety, security, confidential information, legal rights, an investigation, or the integrity of enforcement processes.

Nothing in this section limits any mandatory rights that users may have under applicable consumer protection laws.

17. Service Availability And Changes

Werjo is provided on an “as available” basis and is intended for general event and city discovery purposes. Nothing in these Terms limits any mandatory rights that you may have under applicable law.

Werjo may update, change, suspend or discontinue parts of the service from time to time, including features, content, design, availability, third-party integrations or technical functionality.

Where a material change significantly affects account features or user rights, Werjo will provide reasonable notice where required by law or where reasonably possible in the circumstances.

Werjo does not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free or continuous availability of the service. Temporary interruptions, maintenance, technical issues, third-party service issues, security issues, service changes or other disruptions may occur.

Werjo uses reasonable measures to operate and secure the service, but no system or service can be guaranteed to be completely secure, uninterrupted or error-free.

18. Limitation Of Liability

Werjo provides the service as an event and city discovery platform. Werjo does not organise third-party events, sell tickets, process event payments, decide admission, provide transport, act as a safety authority, or control third-party organisers, venues, ticket providers, map providers, video providers, transport providers, authorities or external websites.

Werjo aims to provide useful and reasonably reliable information, but event, venue, map, media and third-party information may be based on public, official, partner-provided or other third-party sources and may change after publication. Werjo does not guarantee that all information is complete, accurate, available, safe, suitable or up to date at all times.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Werjo is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses, loss of profit, loss of data, loss of business opportunity, business interruption, or other similar losses arising from or related to the use of Werjo, third-party services, third-party content, event changes, denied entry, cancellations, inaccurate information, service interruptions or these Terms.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Werjo is not liable for losses, claims or disputes caused by third-party organisers, venues, ticket providers, map providers, video providers, transport providers, social media platforms, external websites or other third-party services.

Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes Werjo’s liability for wilful misconduct, gross negligence, death or personal injury where such liability cannot be limited or excluded under applicable law.

Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes Werjo’s liability where such limitation or exclusion is not permitted by applicable law. Nothing in these Terms affects any mandatory consumer rights that users may have under applicable consumer protection laws.

19. Intellectual Property

Werjo, the Werjo name, logos, trademarks, app design, software, layout, database structure, editorial content, Werjo-created content, and other Werjo-owned or Werjo-controlled materials are owned by Werjo Oy or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property rights, database rights and other applicable laws.

You may use Werjo for personal, non-commercial event and city discovery purposes. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, modify, sell, exploit, scrape, extract, reuse, or create a competing service from Werjo content, database, software or materials without Werjo’s permission, except where permitted by mandatory law.

You may not remove, obscure or alter copyright notices, trademark notices, attribution notices, map attributions, source references or other rights notices displayed in or through Werjo.

Third-party event names, venue names, organiser names, trademarks, images, videos, maps, embedded content and other materials may belong to their respective owners. Nothing in these Terms gives users ownership of Werjo materials or third-party materials made available through the service.

User-provided content remains subject to the user content licence described in these Terms.

20. Changes To These Terms

Werjo may update these Terms from time to time as the service develops or if we introduce, change or remove features. Werjo may also update these Terms where reasonably necessary due to legal, regulatory, security, technical, operational, third-party service, app marketplace or business-related changes.

The latest version of these Terms will be available through the service and will show the date when it was last updated.

If we make material changes to these Terms, we will provide reasonable notice, for example through the service, by email, by in-app notification or by another appropriate method.

The updated Terms will apply from the effective date stated in the notice. If a change requires the user’s acceptance, Werjo may ask the user to accept the updated Terms before continuing to use the relevant account feature or service.

If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you should stop using Werjo. If you have an account, you may delete it through account settings where available, or contact Werjo at support@werjo.com or through https://werjo.com/support/ if you cannot access the app or account deletion fails.

Continued use of Werjo after the effective date means that the user accepts the updated Terms, to the extent permitted by applicable law, unless applicable law requires separate consent or acceptance.

21. Governing Law And Disputes

These Terms are governed by Finnish law, excluding its choice of law rules. However, if you are a consumer, this choice of law does not limit any mandatory consumer protection rights that may apply under the laws of your country of residence.

If a dispute arises, the parties should first try to resolve it directly and amicably. Before starting a formal dispute, please contact Werjo at support@werjo.com or through https://werjo.com/support/ so that we can try to resolve the issue directly.

If you are a consumer in Finland and the dispute cannot be resolved directly with Werjo, you may contact the Finnish Consumer Advisory Services and, where eligible, submit the matter to the Finnish Consumer Disputes Board.

Where the user is not acting as a consumer, disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms shall be brought before the District Court of Helsinki as the court of first instance, unless mandatory law provides otherwise.

Nothing in this section limits any mandatory right that you may have to bring a claim before a competent court, authority or dispute resolution body under applicable law

22. Contact
